How we ranked these GPUs
Rankings are based on average 1080p and 1440p rasterisation performance in a suite of ten modern titles, divided by the current median India retail price. We exclude grey-market imports and use verified prices from MD Computers, Vedant, PrimeABGB, EliteHubs, and Amazon India (sold by authorised sellers). Ray tracing performance is noted separately since its value depends heavily on whether you use it. VRAM capacity and bandwidth are factored in as a secondary criterion since a cheaper card with insufficient VRAM will bottleneck long-term.
Under Rs 20,000: RX 6600 is the clear winner
The RX 6500 XT (around Rs 10,000 to 12,000) handles 1080p at medium settings in most titles but its 4 GB VRAM is a hard ceiling for many modern games — avoid it unless your budget is strictly sub-Rs 12,000. The RX 6600 at Rs 15,000 to 18,000 is the correct pick in this bracket: 8 GB GDDR6, strong 1080p high settings performance, and no driver or compatibility issues. It comfortably handles CS2, Valorant, COD Warzone, and Minecraft at 1080p. The RTX 4060 competes here on the used market but new units cost Rs 27,000 and up — the RX 6600 is a much better new-buy for the money.
Rs 20,000 to Rs 35,000: RX 6700 XT leads, RTX 4060 close behind
The RX 6700 XT at Rs 22,000 to 27,000 remains one of India's best value cards — 12 GB GDDR6, excellent 1080p performance, and capable 1440p gaming at high settings. It beats the RTX 4060 in pure rasterisation at the same or lower price. The RTX 4060 at Rs 27,000 to 31,000 adds DLSS 3 Frame Generation and better ray tracing performance but 8 GB VRAM is a limitation at 1440p ultra in newer titles. For competitive gamers at 1080p who want DLSS and NVIDIA features, the RTX 4060 makes sense. For pure frame-rate-per-rupee at 1440p, the RX 6700 XT wins.

Rs 35,000 to Rs 60,000: RTX 4070 Super is the sweet spot
The RTX 4070 at Rs 38,000 to 44,000 is a strong 1440p card with 12 GB GDDR6X and DLSS 3. The RTX 4070 Super at Rs 43,000 to 50,000 adds roughly 15 percent more performance for Rs 5,000 more — a worthwhile upgrade. Both handle 1440p at maximum settings in virtually every 2025 title. The RTX 4070 Ti Super (Rs 55,000 to 65,000 when available) pushes into the 1440p 144fps bracket comfortably. For the pure value calculation in this range, the RTX 4070 Super at the lower end of its price band is the bracket winner.
Rs 60,000 to Rs 85,000: RTX 5070 enters the picture
The RTX 5070 at Rs 58,000 to 65,000 is the natural step up from the 4070 Super for new builds — 12 GB GDDR7, DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, and notably better 4K performance. If your budget touches Rs 60,000 for the GPU, the RTX 5070 is the better long-term purchase over the 4070 Super. The RX 9070 XT at Rs 60,000 to 72,000 when available in Indian retail is AMD's competing answer: slightly faster in pure rasterisation at 1440p, 16 GB GDDR6, but without the DLSS ecosystem advantage. Both are strong choices; availability of the RX 9070 XT in India remains inconsistent as of mid-2025.
Above Rs 85,000: the RTX 5080 bracket
At this price range, both the RTX 5080 (Rs 90,000 to 1,10,000) and high-end RX 9070 XT variants deliver consistent 4K 60fps and 1440p 144fps in nearly every title. The RTX 5080 leads significantly in ray tracing, DLSS 4, and productivity workloads like video rendering and AI inference. For pure gaming value per rupee, the diminishing returns above Rs 70,000 are steep. Spending Rs 1,00,000 on an RTX 5080 is justified only if you own a 4K 144Hz monitor, do professional GPU work, or simply want the best available.
India GPU buying tips: warranty and grey market
Always verify you are buying from an authorised distributor. In India, NVIDIA's authorised retail partners include Vedant, PrimeABGB, MD Computers, IT Depot, and EliteHubs. Amazon India listings from third-party sellers are often grey-market imports — the card may work fine but any warranty claim requires international shipping at your cost. Authorised Indian distributors provide local 3-year warranty support. For cards above Rs 30,000, the warranty protection is worth the Rs 1,000 to 2,000 premium over the cheapest available listing. Use the PC Builder India price table on each product page to identify which retailers are authorised.
Verdict
For the best value in India in mid-2025: the RX 6600 under Rs 18,000, the RX 6700 XT around Rs 24,000, and the RTX 4070 Super around Rs 45,000 are the three standout picks by bracket.
